The Carl Hansen CH07 Shell Chair Lounge Chair was designed by Hans J. Wegner for the Carl Hansen brand.

It comes from the pen of the Master of Chairs, who designed more than 500 chairs.

When the model was first presented at the Furniture Guild Exhibition in Copenhagen in 1963, it polarised the audience: some loved the avant-garde design, others were critical.
